Ethnographic Museum Design Program

DESIGN PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

The former Palace of Justice is part of the building complex at Kossuth tér, Budapest. It is therefore a part of the geographical location that represents the Hungarian state and it is an important element of the façade that serves as the background to the Parliament and the Pest landscape, a UNESCO’s World Heritage. As a result of the Steindl Imre Program a historically authentic reconstruction of Kossuth tér and its neighbourhood was completed. We were responsible for compiling the design program related to the utilisation of the building in its original function. Collecting information about the utilisation practices of the Supreme Court of Justice of Austria and the Federal Administrative Court of Germany helped us create a user-centred design program that kept historic values in mind.
