Expanding under Strict Standards

Novochem, a Hungarian chemical trading and distribution company with over 60 years of experience, is a 100% subsidiary of the German-based OQEMA Group, one of Europe’s leading chemical distributors operating in 25 countries. Serving a wide range of industries – from oil and gas, pharmaceuticals and automotive to agriculture, food, construction, textiles, paints, household and cosmetics – Novochem plays a central role in the Hungarian chemical supply chain.
Between 2017 and 2019, Novochem expanded its industrial site in Százhalombatta to increase capacity and improve safety in the storage and handling of chemicals. Given the complexity of activities involving explosive and flammable substances under varying conditions, the project required compliance with strict security regulations and the Seveso III upper-tier directives.

Realiscon provided project management and technical supervision throughout the design and construction process. Our responsibilities included overseeing the implementation of new storage vessels, advanced technological and control systems, and ensuring that construction costs remained within budget. Thanks to careful coordination and close attention to licensing procedures, the project was delivered successfully, strengthening Novochem’s ability to serve its diverse industrial clients.
