On behalf of Synlab Hungary, Realiscon provided project management services for the development of the largest medical diagnostic laboratory in Central and Eastern Europe, located in the Csepel Freeport of Budapest. The project combined the refurbishment of a nearly 100-year-old neoclassical port administration building with a new modern extension, creating a facility that merges architectural heritage with state-of-the-art design and technology.
Beyond its central office functions, the building accommodates more than 30 specialized laboratories. To meet Synlab’s specific requirements, the construction included 400 km of pipelines, systems for 16 types of medical gases, multiple water supply lines, and seven distinct ventilation systems supported by highly specialized mechanical equipment. The use of BIM design ensured precise coordination of these complex technical demands.
Realiscon was responsible for change management, time and cost control, which required precise organization and the highest level of technical expertise. By successfully adapting to new challenges during implementation, we ensured that the laboratory and office complex met the strictest professional and technological standards.
