The first online event of the Hungary Green Building Council (HuGBC) Green Talk series in 2026 focused on the current challenges of EU Taxonomy and green compliance. Members of the HuGBC Taxonomy Working Group shared their practical experience, including Katalin Józsa (LEED AP), Sustainability Expert at Realiscon.
The discussion explored how taxonomy compliance can be interpreted and applied in everyday real estate development practice. Participants also addressed how these requirements relate to the goals of the Net Zero Carbon Roadmap 2050, and what additional environmental aspects should be considered beyond decarbonisation.
A key topic of the event was the importance of pre-certification advisory, which helps developers align their projects with sustainability requirements already in the early design phase and avoid potential compliance risks later on.
The Green Talk provided a valuable platform for professional exchange, supporting a shared understanding of the evolving challenges in sustainable real estate development.
