Realiscon was once again represented at EXPO REAL in Munich, one of Europe’s major international real estate industry events. Our colleagues Zsolt Hintenberger MRICS, PMP, David Jakab MRICS and Timea Fazekas MRICS spent three busy days reconnecting with industry partners, exchanging experiences and gaining fresh insights into current real estate market trends.
This year’s discussions highlighted several areas of growing interest, including social housing, data centres, infrastructure development and senior living. Sustainability also emerged as an increasingly integrated part of real estate development, gradually becoming business as usual rather than a separate agenda.
Despite the vibrant atmosphere at the event, the overall market sentiment remained cautious. Investment opportunities are present, but activity is still selective, with no signs of a broad market boom. Hungary appears to be returning to investors’ radar, although pricing, transparency and liquidity remain important factors influencing investment decisions.
The conversations in Munich confirmed that the industry has both the expertise and the willingness to respond to changing market conditions and rethink the future of the built environment. Looking ahead, 2027 promises new challenges and opportunities to put that expertise into practice.
