The biodiversity-focused landscape programme at BMW Manufacturing Hungary in Debrecen continues to take shape. Following the earlier phases of the development, the latest milestone is the completion of the landscape works surrounding the plant’s main building.
The project, launched in January 2026, covered an area of 9,550 sqm. The works included the planting of 17 trees, more than 17,000 shrubs and hedges, ornamental and native grasses, as well as the establishment of a wildflower meadow using a specially developed seed mix tailored specifically to this area.
To support the long-term sustainability of the vegetation, the entire site was equipped with a precisely designed irrigation system supplied by a local groundwater well.
Realiscon contributed to the project through project management and technical supervision services. The implementation phase was based on a landscape design prepared by our team in 2025, during which BIM-based planning was also applied.
The development represents another step towards creating a more resilient and biodiverse environment around the BMW plant, where landscape architecture contributes both to the creation of a high-quality visual environment and to ecological value creation.
