A New Era for Sailing in Balatonfüred

Delivered as a joint initiative of the Hungarian Sailing Federation, the Hungarian Canoe Federation, and the Municipality of Balatonfüred, the redeveloped marina opened in summer 2022. The facility offers 140 berths (including 16 guest berths) and a dedicated canoe–kayak station for 40–50 manually powered craft. Key amenities include charging points for electric boats, a 10-ton shore crane, boat washing, secure parking, shore power and potable water connections, and blackwater pump-out.
Realiscon provided design review and full technical supervision throughout construction. The works involved installing over 400 reinforced-concrete piles, building new fixed piers, relocating the jetty to improve navigation, and deploying e-mobility infrastructure to support electric vessels.
The result is a modern, safe and sustainable marina that serves sailors, canoeists and rowers alike, strengthening Balatonfüred’s role as a leading water-sports hub on Lake Balaton.
