Climate Risk Assessment for an Iconic Office Building

With its total of 66,000 m², distinctive wave-like form and innovative architectural solutions, Budapest ONE has become one of the city’s most prominent business hubs. A unique aspect of the project is that the building’s massing was designed with solar potential and natural daylight in mind, ensuring that efficiency and sustainability were embedded in the architectural concept from the outset. The complex was the first in Hungary to achieve WELL Platinum certification, has been awarded the WELL Health-Safety rating, and its second and third phases jointly obtained BREEAM Excellent Design Stage certification.
Following completion of the building, Realiscon carried out the climate risk and vulnerability assessment in line with the EU Taxonomy requirements. Beyond compliance, this assessment provides support with adaptation solutions that can reduce the identified physical climate risks. Futureal’s ambition is to ensure EU Taxonomy alignment across its entire portfolio, and Budapest ONE was analysed as part of this comprehensive sustainability strategy.
