From Office to Campus

In 2019, the Central European University (CEU) launched the development of its new Vienna campus in Favoriten, the city’s diverse 10th district. The project transformed a former office building into a 20,000 m² modern university facility, reflecting CEU’s vision of creating a collaborative and innovative learning environment.
Realiscon provided full project and cost management services, from design coordination to construction supervision and final handover. Our role was to align functionality, quality, and cost efficiency throughout the entire process.
The renewed building now houses a wide range of educational and community functions: classrooms equipped with digital learning technology, a 200-seat auditorium and tiered lecture hall for large events, research and computer labs, a library, and community lounges. A café and collaborative spaces further enhance the campus’s social life.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of designers, engineers, and contractors, the project was completed within budget and on schedule, delivering a dynamic campus that embodies CEU’s commitment to innovation, accessibility, and academic excellence.
