Corvin Innovation Campus

OFFICE BUILDING DEVELOPMENT

Smart Office, Built Sustainably

The first phase of the Corvin Innovation Campus was completed in early 2023 in Budapest’s Corvin Quarter. Developed by Futureal Group, the building offers 15,800 m² of floor space across nine levels, plus a three-level underground garage. The ambition was to create a cutting-edge office building that meets both employee expectations and the strictest sustainability requirements. The project targeted BREEAM Excellent and WELL Platinum certifications, today’s highest international benchmarks for green and people-centered development.
Delivering this vision required significant technical challenges to be overcome: the reinforced concrete structure alone demanded 15,800 m³ of concrete and 1,463 tons of steel, yet the 38-meter-high building was raised in less than a year. Realiscon was responsible for design documentation review and full technical supervision, maintaining strong on-site presence from groundwork and structural construction through to building systems and interior fit-out.
The result is a nearly fully contactless office building, equipped with modern access and automation systems, as well as advanced HVAC solutions with specialized filters and UV sterilization providing some of the cleanest indoor air in Budapest. Amenities include a 3,000 m² inner courtyard park, a relaxation and wellbeing room, a WELL library, water dispensers, and underground facilities such as EV chargers, bicycle storage with showers, and a bike repair station. Sustainability is further supported by rooftop solar panels and a rainwater harvesting system.
Human-centered details also enhance the workplace experience: dog-friendly services are available throughout the building, while the developer has also created a new public park in front of the property, enriching the surrounding neighborhood.
As technical supervisor, Realiscon ensured that the developer’s vision was delivered at the highest professional and quality standards, resulting in a sustainable, people-oriented office environment that contributes to both workplace wellbeing and the livability of the city district.
Expansion of Sustainability Services
In 2024, one year after the building’s completion, Futureal commissioned Realiscon to carry out a climate risk and vulnerability assessment, a technical requirement under the EU Taxonomy.
In addition, we performed a CRREM (Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor) analysis, which compares the building’s carbon emissions with decarbonization pathways, indicating how long the asset will remain below the decarbonization curve and helping to identify long-term risks.
