A New Gateway to Sailing

By autumn 2023, a new 50-berth sailing marina was completed in Balatonfűzfő on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, created by transforming one of the town’s former water extraction bays. The project was commissioned by the Municipality of Balatonfűzfő, with Nord Point Sailing Association becoming the professional partner for execution and future operation. The marina will also serve as a venue for sailing courses and community events.
Realiscon was responsible for coordinating the entire design process – from concept development through geodetic and soil mechanics surveys to permitting and construction documentation. During the concept phase, we examined several layout options for the berths to find the optimal solution that best fit both the client’s requirements and the budget. Following the successful approval procedures with the navigation authority, construction began in late summer 2023 and was completed by autumn, making the marina ready to welcome boats for the 2024 season.
As a result, the town of Balatonfűzfő gained a modern, safe, and sustainable small-craft marina that not only expands local sailing opportunities but also supports youth training programs and strengthens the town’s touristic appeal.
