WIZZ AIR aviation technology training centre – Budapest
TRAINING CENTER DEVELOPMENT
Simulation in the Service of Safety
In November 2018, Wizz Air opened its new aviation training centre near Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, following a €30 million investment. The 3,800 m² facility houses two Airbus A320 full-flight simulators, a TFC evacuation trainer, and a state-of-the-art Flame Aviation fire trainer, creating a world-class environment for pilot and cabin crew training.
Realiscon was commissioned at the early stages of the project to provide real estate development consultancy. Our tasks included evaluating the technical and financial offers of potential built-to-suit developers and ensuring that the execution met the client’s requirements throughout the development process. The greatest challenge was the transport, assembly, and commissioning of the simulators and the aircraft body under complex technical conditions – tasks that required precision coordination and international expertise.
The centre plays a strategic role in Wizz Air’s growth: it not only secures continuous training for Hungarian crew members, but also serves international staff, strengthening the airline’s ability to expand rapidly across Europe. As a result, the facility has become one of the cornerstones of Wizz Air’s operational excellence. Thanks to efficient preparation and close collaboration between all stakeholders, the project was delivered on time, supporting Wizz Air in meeting the highest industry standards in safety and training.
