Professional Workshop at Realiscon
At Realiscon, we regularly organise internal training sessions where specialists from different fields share their expertise with our team. 28 November 2025 marked a special occasion, as for the first time we also opened one of these professional sessions to an external audience, in connection with the European Week for Waste Reduction.
Current challenges in construction and demolition waste management
Although the international focus of the European Week for Waste Reduction in 2025 was on electronic waste, Realiscon’s professional perspective highlights that the reduction, management and recycling of construction and demolition waste remain highly relevant issues in projects related to the built environment.
The aim of the professional workshop was to explore the topic from a practical perspective, presenting the regulatory framework, market challenges and proven best practices from the viewpoints of real estate development, consultancy, operations and waste management alike.
Presentations and panel discussion
The programme began with expert presentations, followed by a practice-oriented panel discussion, during which participants discussed current topics related to construction and demolition waste management.
Panel participants:
- Anna Bencze – Head of Sustainability, Hello Parks
- Gergely Hankó – Managing Director, KSZGYSZ
- Dávid Hoffer MRICS – Project Manager, Skanska
- Krisztián Petrovszki – Managing Director, Cleanway
The discussion was moderated by Katalin Józsa LEED AP, Sustainability Consultant at Realiscon.
Knowledge sharing and professional dialogue
Throughout the morning, the focus was on sharing practical experience, presenting working solutions and interpreting the regulatory environment in a real-world context. The programme concluded with an informal professional discussion and networking session.
At Realiscon, we believe that good practices gain real value when they are shared. This event reinforced that approach, providing a platform for meaningful professional dialogue on the more sustainable operation of the built environment.
